Have you ever found yourself doing chores at home and discovering you don’t have the right supplies stocked to complete the task? We asked around and compiled this list of “every day” type items found at our store that our team likes to keep in their own homes. Stock these Top 7 Project Essentials at home and you’ll be prepared!
1. 5 Gallon Buckets
There are countless uses for the classic 5 gallon plastic bucket in addition to holding and storing paint (who’d have thought?). It can be a great project essential to have stocked at home for so many reasons. Gardening project? Yard work? Coach pitch baseball drills? Putting together a street drum crew? We also really loved this creative List. The worst is not having one when you need it!
Sometimes paper towels don’t cut it and you’ve already cut up your stash of old t-shirts. It’s handy to have a stash of cotton rags around for various projects both expected and unexpected! Cleaning, dusting, polishing, staining & more. In several cases, you can wash and reuse them!
Dealing with household chemicals? Needing to do chores, but want to protect a small cut or scrape? Just a few of the good reasons to keep gloves around for when you need them. We stock small bags of the black, SAS Safety Corp., Raven nitrile gloves. They are: powder-free, examination grade, latex-free, textured grip, for single-use. They come with 3 pairs in each bag.
4. Original Krud Kutter
Krud Kutter removes dried latex paint – that’s what makes it a great item to keep at the paint store – but it has SO many other uses. No other single product removes really tough soils as quickly and effectively from so many different surfaces. The essential project cleaner for multi-use. Cuts grease, grime, oil & wax fast. It’s also an excellent tile and grout cleaner. It safely and easily removes: food and drink stains, dried latex paint, paint overspray, tape residue, glue and adhesive, acid rain, bird droppings, smoke damage, grease & oil, marker & crayon, pet stains, tree sap, brake dust, fireplace soot, oxidation, lipstick, scuff marks, blood stains, sun tan oil, tar & wax, chewing gum, soap scum, mildew stains, shoe polish & more! On of our team’s favorite uses is cleaning the grill for spring & summer! Read even more about Original Krud Kutter Here.

The biggest misconception about being a specialized, independently owned paint store is that our prices are always higher. We do carry several premium-grade products and paints that can’t be found in the home centers and are of higher or professional-grade quality, but we also have lots of paints and supplies that are priced similarly or even sometimes lower than national companies.
